Jayden and Jordan Twins...
At the boys’ two-month checkup, the doctor noticed their heads were flat on the left side --- Jayden more so, and Jordan, still severe, but less so. My husband had been making comments about Jayden's head a few weeks prior to the twin’s doctor’s appointment. So when we went to see the pediatrician, she referred us to Cranial Tech. Well long story short, we booked an appointment with them. However, after finding out our insurance wouldn't pay for their bands, I ended up calling the insurance company to get names of places they would pay for. They gave me two places, but after looking at the STAR Cranial Center website, I was very impressed. Obviously because it's all they specialize in, and the scanner they use to scan the infant’s heads only takes a few seconds, compared to casting and molding their heads. I honestly loved this place right away.
Everyone was so nice and helpful, particularly Nancy who we saw pretty much every visit. However, we were very freaked out when the twins got their helmets. We worried that they would most likely scream/cry with them on, but it was the total opposite! We had no problems at all during the 5 ½ months they wore their bands --- which we were very thankful for since we were expecting the worst. We are very happy with the results, especially considering the fact that both of them were severe cases to begin with. They are now mild (Wow!), and they only had one helmet each during the entire treatment process. I would absolutely recommend STAR Cranial Center. Their service, results, and price were exceptional!
